This was my submission for a coursework module focused around Flash, back when I was studying at Abertay University.
I hand-rolled a miniature game framework in Flash; presumably, at this point, I hadn’t yet heard of Flixel, or wasn’t allowed to use it for the University coursework! The code is horrendously messy, but it’s kind of a miracle that it works at all.
I did later use the Flixel game framework, which ended up being very influential on me - some of the ways that Flixel was structured still echo out into the architecture and design of the small game frameworks that I use today!
