august to september film roundup
photos! photos!! photos!!!
It’s film lab day! Two rolls developed this time; there was a third roll that I happened upon, stuck inside an early 2000s point-and-shoot in a box of my childhood stuff. Sadly, the film was totally fogged and nothing turned out at all. The lab very kindly did not charge me the usual price for a roll for that one, which is nice! As for the camera itself, I tested it with a fresh roll anyway, and got a few fun shots out of it. There’s nothing today from the OM-10, not just yet - stay tuned for that one. Only weird cameras today! Check ‘em out!
“Faraway Park” - I like how dreamy this one came out.
“Dappletree” - While most of the images were underexposed with poor contrast, this one ended up quite nicely contrasty.
It kinda looks like the sun just exploded next to the Observatory, because of the terrible lens flare. Whoops.
This is a toy bird I got in a claw machine that my girlfriend and I call “Toikey”. He’s a great reference subject for photos. For a comparison of the cameras, here’s the same shot on the half-frame Lomourette:
And here’s some more from the Lomourette, with many pictures of Ratbag, the baby seagull who lived in our garden until he finally learned to fly:
“Last Bloom of Summer” - I saw this lonely flower on the way back from a shopping trip and wanted to capture it before it fell.
I spelled “egg” in curry ketchup, badly, on my eggs one morning. A fascinating window into my mind.
It’s Gronkus, the New Bee. I won’t elucidate further.
A nice alley. The Last Bloom of Summer was near here!
